Hi, I’m Lyndel — the therapist for people who haven’t always had the best experience with therapy. I know how hard it is to open up to a stranger about the things you’ve kept inside. But that’s how healing starts. Sometimes you don’t even have the words for what you’re feeling — that’s okay. I can help you find them and build the tools you need to move forward.
I’m direct but compassionate. I’ll always respect your boundaries, but I’ll also ask the questions that help you notice patterns and open up new choices. Change isn’t always comfortable, but you don’t have to face it alone.
I offer in-person sessions at RiverWest Therapy Collective in downtown Calgary (transit-friendly with street parking), as well as flexible telehealth options — video or phone. Therapy should fit your life, not the other way around.
My work focuses on trauma (CPTSD, PTSD, self-harm/suicidal ideation), grief, ADHD, life transitions, medical diagnoses, and relationships — including non-traditional or non-monogamous ones. I also have extensive experience supporting first responders and healthcare workers.
I draw from CBT, DBT, EFT, Narrative, Gottman, Relational Life, and Solution-Focused therapies, grounded in a client-centred, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive lens. I’m also completing certification in psychedelic-assisted therapy.
When I’m not working, I’m usually on my paddleboard, camping, snowshoeing, or reading by the fire with a crochet project nearby.
